Paws Above Rescue

Paws Above is a small foster based rescue that operates in the Greater Toronto Area. We are a Registered Canadian Charity # 735524712RR0001, operating through volunteers, donations, and our passion to help dogs.

Paws Above was founded by Ola Gentle. Ola has been caring for and training dogs her whole adult life, over 20 years! She runs a successful training and boarding business out of King City. She is most passionate however when it comes to homeless dogs. She has been rescuing and rehoming dogs for as long as she has been training them.

Paws Above specializes in taking in dogs with behaviour and medical challenges. We work on their issues and match them up with the perfect family. Paws Above rescues dogs from shelters locally, but we also rescue abroad. If there is a dog in need and we are able, Paws Above will help out!

Adoption Process

All potential adopters must fill out an application, have their references checked and go through a home visit. All of our adoption fees are based on the age and health (I.E. special needs or not) of the dog.

Adoption fees

Our Adoption Fees are based on the age of the dogs. Every Paws Above dog is checked and medically cleared, if the dog has any ongoing health issues they will be disclosed. The Adoption Fee helps cover some of the medical bills.

Puppies (8weeks - 6 months): $1000

Puppies (6months - 1 year): $800

Young Dogs (1-3 years of age): $600
Adult Dogs (4-6 years of age): $500
Seniors (7+): $400
